Vintage German Black Forest Style Cuckoo Clock: A vintage German Black Forest style cuckoo clock. This clock features a wood frame with hand carved maple leaves and a bird perched at the top, right above a small hand painted cuckoo bird that emerges when the clock strikes the hour. Two pine cone weights and a leaf pendulum hang from the bottom. The clock face is marked “Germany” and the verso of the piece is stamped “Made in Germany”. The pine cones are marked “275 ET”.

It is plate signed and dated to the lower right corner, set in a complimentary white mat and presents behind glass in a lacquered black frame with a mounting wire to the verso.

This style of uniform was the first blue uniform approved by President Truman and was not distributed until 1950 as the Korean war was starting. The jacket features two breast pockets, deep pockets at the waist, metal buttons up the front, and one Master Sergeant E-7 insignia patch to each arm. Includes a pair of matching pants with removable suspenders and cap with a visor and Bullion eagle emblem. The pants are marked W30 L33, the jacket is marked 38/L, and the cap is marked “6 3/4”. Tag in Pants is dated from the 1940’s.

It was printed by Globe Ticket Company. The ticket stub is still attached.
