A couple of items of particular interest:
1) An early lemon gold-gilt mirror with a note written in pencil on the back from a "Paul Bronson" saying it was given to him by "Roger Sherman." [If it's the Paul Bronson we found, he was from Middlebury and lived from 1874-1935. And while it isn't THE Roger Sherman there were quite a few fellows by the name in the state over the years; one that might correspond was from Woodbury.]
2) A large pastel of an Irish hound by Hawthorne Lewis Smyth (1910-1995), grandson of Nathaniel Hawthorne, Connecticut artist and teacher.
FURNITURE: Great Mission bookcase in A+ condition; matching loveseats, vintage dining room table with turned legs (top needs restoration); painted storage/seat bench perfect for mud room; Demi-lune antique table.
LINENS: A number of classic vintage linen tablecloths, all found on hangers and pressed, beautiful condition; napkins, bedding, etc.
ARTWORK: Several paintings and prints.
KITCHEN: Tons of kitchen items.
DOORSTOPS: Several newer cast iron doorstops - pigs, cow, dogs, kitty, etc.
RUGS/CARPETS: Several area rugs, room-size one-color area carpets.
AND MORE: Glassware, china, pewter (some older), Ogee case clock by CT maker;, decorative items, etc.
And don't forget the garage -- clean as a whistle but with a bunch of useful stuff you'll be glad you got for next spring!
