Prior Hamblin School portrait in the Original Mahogany frame

An 11.1 x 8.4' circa 1930 Navajo Ganado regional rug. Woven of handspun wool, in natural white, black, gray, dark brown and light brown on a red ground, with three serrated diamonds along the center flanked by angular bars and serrated devices, within a serrated border. Light wear; several stains. 133 x 100". ESTIMATE $6,000-8,000 Provenance: Commissioned by John C. Holley, Jr. of Grosse Pointe, Michigan from the Hubbel Trading Post, circa 1930, for use in his hunting lodge near Lake Placid, New York. Christopher Selser of Park Avenue, New York, the former Director of ACA American Indian Arts who, along with Alice Kaufman, authored "Navajo Weaving Tradition: 1650 to the Present". Purchased by Robert Teeter, June 1983. The original correspondence between Teeter, Kaufman and Selser, pertaining to this item, is available for review.

An early 19th century American Primitive oil on canvas portrait of a young girl. Depicted seated on a Classical Period bench in a Pink dress with a kitten in her lap. Some light craquelure, lined, blacklights clean. Image 25 3/4 x 35", in an older gilded frame, 29 3/4 x 39" high overall. ESTIMATE $2,000-3,000

An 18th century New Hampshire Dunlap school Queen Anne Period Maple highboy. Upper case with a molded cornice over five long lip molded drawers, the upper with a three drawer facade, on a base with three long drawers, the lower with a three drawer facade and carved central fan, over a scalloped apron, all supported by cabriole legs with pad feet. Original brass hardware, pine secondary wood. Older refinishing, some wear, three restored knee returns, small pieced repair to crown, shrinkage cracks in sides of base. 40 x 20 1/2 x 79 1/2" high. ESTIMATE $3,000-5,000

A mid 19th century pressed glass Tulip vase, New England, probably Boston & Sandwich Co. Emerald Green, having an octagonal bowl with flared rim, raised on an octagonal base. Minor wear; a few very small and minor nicks to the underside of the base, large ground chip at one petal. 9 3/4" high. ESTIMATE $200-300

A late 19th century chalkware dog with original polychrome decoration. In the style of a Staffordshire dog, depicted seated on a short plinth. Hollow cast, incised signature on the reverse appears to be "Andrea Verzana" with 1858. Finish quite worn, some surface scratches. 14" high. ESTIMATE $200-300

Three early 19th century Pewter porringers. All having "Old English" form pierced handles. Some wear, slight denting. Up to 4 3/4" long overall. ESTIMATE $100-150

A late 18th/early 19th century New England continuous arm, comb back Windsor armchair. Seven spindle back, shaped hand holds, turned spindles, shaped plank seat and turned stretcher base. Hickory and Maple construction with a Pine seat. Older Black paint with some wear, crack in seat, feet ended out approx. 5". 20 1/2 x 17 1/2 x 44 3/4" high overall. ESTIMATE $400-600
