Leon Makielski Art Exhibition - Held Over!

Schmidt's Antiques is pleased to announce a public presentation and sale of works by area artist Leon Makielski (1885-1974) entitled "A Portrait of Ann Arbor". Our Final Exhibition will take place on Saturday June 22nd, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The selection includes over thirty works, directly from the family, many never before offered for sale. Featuring Midwestern landscapes and cityscapes, showcasing numerous images of Ann Arbor, as well as portraits, including his notable depiction of bridge builder Ralph Modjeski, and perhaps one of his most famous portraits, Mrs. Penelope Peterson.
