Lot 2: Framed Modern Vibrant Abstract Embroidery Art. Eye-catching bright artwork appears abstract at first glance; 4 abstracted masks/faces emerge with a second look. Picture is made with different colors of fibrous cord/string laid down on the surface and is frame in black painted wood. Wired & ready to hang. Dimensions are 19 in h x 25 in w x .75 in d. Lot 3: Abstract Brown Green Figure Painting of Man and Tree. Painting on canvas over particle board is unsigned and unframed. A man standing beside what looks like a tree is rendered in a mix of browns, greens, blues, and black. Abstract style has an almost unfinished quality, showing something archetypal in the human form. Dimensions are 20 in h x 16 in w x .25 in d. Condition is good, with wear to edges and corners, canvas detaching in some places, and surface wear throughout. Lot 4: Early 20th C Swordfish Bill Sword, Signed MB Simmons. An extensively decorated swordfish bill sword, signed "MB Simmons" and "October 7 1907." Carved and painted with two steam boats and a sword fish. American flag and crest at the ricasso. The hilt is made of carved and painted wood. Acquired in the 1980s near Boston. Lot 5: Signed Oil Painting of Woman w/Ornate Hat Gold Frame. This is a signed oil painting of a young woman wearing an ornate hat or bonnet. The hat is pink, and has plumes, a buckle, and a tie just below the chin. She also wears an elegant pink dress. The top of the background is a light brown with a tinge of green to it, but as it goes down, the brown color becomes considerably darker. This work looks to be created by a naïve painter, and is signed in the bottom right corner. The name looks like O.W. Geer, and it seems like there was a date below it, but that part of the painting has chipped off. It has a beautiful, elaborate frame that is covered in either gold gilt or gold paint. The back side has a series of wires for hanging on the wall. This interesting and distinctive painting is a must for any fan of naïve art. Dimensions are 15 in h x 12 in w x 1.75 in d. Lot 6: 3 Mexican Guerrero Painted Copper Dance Masks,Devil,Cat. Lot of three wonderful ceremonial dance masks from Northern Guerrero, Mexico. In painted copper; a horned devil and two cats or jaguars with bells hanging from their ears. The horns of the devil are real, possibly from a goat. All have holes are top and sides for hanging or to be worn. Two adult sizes and one smaller. Acquired in the 1980s, Guerrero, Mexico. From the collection of Barbara Porter & Robert Wincuinas.
