Antique W. M. Gale & Son Sterling Silver Pitcher, Circa 1853-1855: An antique sterling silver pitcher. This piece was produced between 1853-1855 by the New York firm of W. M. Gale & Son. The jug with a swirled body is elaborately decorated with stippling, chased and repousse molding. The handle is molded with grapes and leaves in relief and a cartouche with the engraved inscription “Bell Jones from F. N. B. Dec. 11th, 1855” can be found in the center. There is a clover leaf and flower border above a gadrooned edge. The jug bears impressed factory marks reading “W. M. Gale & Son New York” together with a diamond, circle, and oval logo. The approximate weight is 31.925 ozt.

1830s French Gilt Metal Mobilier Wag-on-the-Wall Clock: A 1830s French mobilier gilt metal “wag-on-the-wall” clock. This beautiful weight-driven clock is designed with a gilt metal case with arched top and elaborate repousse design featuring two peacocks to the sides with an urn overflowing with grapes and flowers to the center, with foliate and floral borders. The round clock face is in white enamel with black Roman numerals and openwork hands, with a center Arabic numeral band. Below the case is an openwork lyre form with vertical twisted rods connecting to a second openwork lyre form and below, a round gilt metal pendulum cover designed in a fruit and leaf pattern with a pineapple to the center. The clock’s mechanism is driven by two cylindrical brass-encased weights. The clock is marked “CN” and “Depose” to the lower edge of the metal case.

This wool accent rug features a hooked medallion to the center with detailed diamond and geometric herati motifs throughout the field in colors of blue, navy, yellow, orange, blush and red. The spandrels to each corner showcase floral sprays and vine details that accent the field. Surrounding the main turtle border is a floral meander guard border in the field colors. It has overcast edges and fine coton warp fringe to each end. Unmarked.
