The Lea Family home was constructed and first occupied in 1798. Major Albert Miller Lea was a well known Confederate leader at the Battle of Galveston, Texas, where his son died in his arms. The family sold the 3 story brick residence in the 1870s to the first of 3 other families to occupy the residence in 150 years. In 1942, the Fox Family of Chestnut Hill/Dandridge, Tennessee bought the farm, occupying the house, until the present time.
