Oldest Lived Girl Scout Estate Sale, Mildred "Milly" Lawson Ellis. Milly left us at the age of 105. To many people Milly is a true hero. At the age of 102, Milly was honored at an event in Murfreesboro, TN as the "oldest registered Girl Scout on record". She shook hands with over 2,600 little girls that day. She started Girl Scouts at the age of 14, with the "Lone Troop Kit" with only 5 girls from her neighborhood. She described her experience as "rich". She met people such as President Herbert Hoover's wife, Lou. Milly was not only one of the youngest and earliest to start her own Scout group, she was very influential in the national growth and development of Girl Scouts USA. She now leaves behind her treasures. This includes: Antique Furniture, Home Decor, Collectibles, Dolls, Art and yes a few girl scout pins. Some furniture dates back to the late 1800's.
