Are You a "Pinteresting" Estate Sale-er?

I believe one of the best things about finding a deal at an estate sale, or anywhere for that matter, is being able to share it with other people.  We found that people love to share their finds when we had our 10th Anniversary Contest, where we asked you all to share your estate sale finds from the past 10 years.

We’ve created a
community board on Pinterest where we’d love to see all of you share your estate sale finds.  A community board is a little different than a regular Pinterest board, in that it has many Pinners participating on the same board, rather than just one person.

We feel this will be a great way for estate sale-ers to get to know one another and share what they are passionate about--estate sale-ing.  Since we are opening this up to our entire community, we do have a few rules for the board.  They are as follows:

1. Items pinned on the board need to be estate sale items--original and repurposed.  We also have tips and resources, but please remember this is an estate sale board.
2. Give the original source credit for the pin (if it’s not your own)
3. NO SPAMMING PLEASE!
We also reserve the right to remove any pins/pinners--so please play nice.

If you’d like to pin on our board, just send us an email to Pinterest@EstateSales.NET and we’ll send you an invite.

BUYER BEWARE, shaddy dealings at NJ estate sales. I've run into this problem all to offten where the listing states numbers given out at 8:00am then when you get there ten minutes early you find that the numbers have already been put out earlier and you get number 25. This is totally unfair to those of us who play by the rules. I believe if you set the rules you follow your rules. Also no one should be allowed to take more than one number and hold them for friends who show up just prior to the start of the sale. I too would like to stay in bed a little longer on saturday morning, this is not like going to the movie theater where everyone gets to see the same movie, there's an advantage for being on time and when things like this take place you can't help to think you've been scammed or betrayed by the estate sale agent, like insider trading going on behind your back. Some of us travel 50 miles or more and get up at 5:30am to be on time only to find the locals scoffed up all the low numbers. My solution to this unfair practice is this; everyone has a cell phone or watch with the correct time I would hope, at 8:00am an agent gives out the numbers to whom ever is waiting outside at that time, after that everyone else who comes must wait until the start of the sale with no exceptions. You will see how quicky those who have a friend picking up a number for them will be there or not come at all.

Just got back from an estate sale run by ESTATE SALE OF TAMPA BAY...was very disapponted. This crew was encouraging people to take everything in the house. Including the toilets, light fixtures, airconditioning, hot water tank, granite countertops, cabinets. EEVERYTHING. what a beautiful home reduced to rubble by vultures. Looked like this VERY expensive home was about to be foreclosed. SHAME on the homeowners and the estate sale company. I will not spend another dime or attend another one of their sales.
