How Square Works with EstateSales.NET

Square is a secure credit card processing point-of-sales (POS) system that handles billions of dollars in transactions each year. A unique feature with Square is its superior customer support infrastructure. Unlike most payment processors, Square does not charge a fee when a customer disputes a payment. They take the time to work with your customer’s bank and handle the dirty work for you.

Getting set up with a Square account is simple. Many companies may already have an account with Square. The first step to listing your items on the Marketplace is setting up your Square account. When you click the “Connect a Square Account” button, you’ll be redirected to the Square website. You’ll be asked to enter basic company information, along with a bank account and routing number. If you already have a Square account, you will simply log in to connect your account to EstateSales.NET.

Setting up a Square account is free and has no monthly, cancellation, or minimum fees. You pay per transaction at a rate of 2.9% + 30 cents for each completed transaction. Bonus: Through Square, your company can now accept PayPal payments.

After the printing label has been printed, or (in the case of local pickup) after the customer has picked up the item, and the transaction is finalized, it takes 36 hours or less for Square to process the transaction and deposit the money into your bank account. After the sale, the funds are preauthorized (or guaranteed) for seven days. It is very important to ship the item as soon as you can. The sooner you ship, the sooner you get paid.

If a refund is issued, unlike Stripe, Square will refund their processing fee.
