This is a beautiful oil painting on board. It is framed and signed by Rina Sutzkever, an accomplished Eastern European artist of a burgeoning new school of surrealism. The painting depicts a woman's reflection in a window separated into three distinct fields of color, indicative of the artist's classical training and facile manipulation of color theory. The dove, depicted outside the window, proposes a symbol of peace and purity apparent in the serene complexion of the figure in the window.
