This offering is a 1920s representation of one of the most famous images of American western life.
Purchased by our client from an estate of an Art collector in Boston who purchased this from a museum gift shop in the 1940s.
Our client has had this piece insured for $7500.

A technically perfect cast bronze sculpture after American artist Frederic Remington's 1906 original, on marble base.
The artist produced this with the utmost attention to the original method that Remington and his studios used to produce the original 15 editions of The Outlaw in 1906.

Filled with a tremendous dramatic tension, this bronze sculpture depicts a scene from the American Old West particularly dear to Frederic Remington.
A cowboy is focusing all of his energy to stay aboard a rearing, plunging horse, his feet firmly secured in the stirrups, his left hand holding the reins.
The Outlaw’s title refers to the horse rather than the rider because of its disobedience, trying to buck off the rider.

This recasting, mounted on a marble base measuring 16.5" W x 11" D, will make for a great décor to any table top or entry table.
A fabulous conversation starter.
