Reserve Not MetStunning and very old alabaster Italian relic.
The client’s mother purchased this at an art and antiquities auction in London in 1953.
Excellent antique condition with few imperfections as expected for its age.
Our client enjoyed this piece with a light behind it exhibiting the other worldly glow only alabaster provides.
With many dimensions of veining and complexity, but no visible cracks, this bowl has survived in wonderful condition 300 plus years.
We have opted to preserve all of the existing signs of debris and have not performed a thorough cleaning in order to allow our buyer to enjoy its current state of patina.
