Sold Red Cinnabar Chinese Jewelry Box

Condition: Good

This cinnabar jewelry box is in good condition without chips. There is a small chip inside the box on the lip of the front rim above the clasp but this is not visible from the outside. The brass hinges show some patina from age and are slightly bent on the back plate, an easy fix. The blue velour, padded compartments are in good condition with wear consistent with age. The elastic of the pocket has lost some of the stretch and can easily be replaced. The box measures 11" wide x 8" deep x3.5" high. This box was part of a family estate and was likely purchased in China in the 1970s.
