Vintage Keep Oregon Green Forest Fire Prevention Poster
A vintage forest fire prevention poster from 1952, created by the Keep Oregon Green Association. The artwork delivers a clear warning to loggers and the public: “Keep Fire Out of the Forests!” and “Keep Oregon Green,” highlighting the dangers of careless actions—including lost wages, depicted by the devil burning a paycheck.

Formed in 1941 after the Tillamook Burns wildfires, the Keep Oregon Green Association aimed to educate the public, promote healthy landscapes, and reduce human-caused wildfires. This poster is a rare piece of early wildfire prevention history, predating the widely recognized Smokey Bear campaign, and is an excellent addition for collectors of vintage public service materials or Oregon history.
