This lot consists of three flower arranging frogs, also known as kenzan. Two are rectangular and measure approximately 4.5 inches by 1.2 inches, featuring numerous brass pins set into a copper or brass base. One is round, measuring approximately 1.5 inches in diameter, also with brass pins set into a metal base. These tools are essential for Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arrangement, allowing for precise placement and stability of stems in a vase or shallow dish. The pins provide a secure anchor for stems, enabling intricate and balanced floral designs.
