Back powder rifles were discovered during the Vietnam war and a few were brought back here and sold.
S. E. Asia had varied editions and they were all hand made.
Another name for this rifle is a Hmong or Monkey Sniper Rifle.
It has been given a general wipe down revealing silver overlays of decorations, even the brass wraps have different colored
impressions on them.
The rifle measures 51" with a 4" handle top to bottom and appears to have had a silver wash down the iron barrel.
The spring action moves slightly but with proper restoration, may work well!
Stamp marks are quite large on the rifle straps.
