Robert Back Ltd Ed Print of Washington DC Harbor 1874 Framed & Matted Hand Signed & Numbered 614/750 Here is a beautiful Limited Edition Print of post Civil War Washington DC and the harbor for your buying consideration. Recently acquired it at an estate sale. This limited edition print was done by the well known maritime artist Robert Back. Hand signed and numbered. The print is in pristine condition. Beautiful details and coloring of sail and steam ships in the harbor and the dome of the Capitol in the distance as of 1874. The paddle wheeler steamship captured in the print is the John Brooks. Interestingly, this ship was used as a hospital ship for wounded by the Union during the Civil War. The print is framed in a gold colored wood frame. There then is a green border with a dark blue inner matting that makes contact with the print. The glass over the print is intact, no cracking or blistering. The paper backing is still securely on the back of the frame. The Framed & Matted Print is 27” tall, by 30 1/2" across, by 1” wide.
