Very Rare, Early 1900s Star Twist - American Thread Company - Thread Box
American Thread Company metal thread box with Star Twist brand logo.... This extremely rare thread box contains four pull-out storage shelves for thread storage and display. Each shelf has a glass front.
The box is in excellent condition. The box shows scuff marks and some discoloration of the metal which is age appropriate.
In a personal note, this box comes from my family clothing store in south Texas! My father owned the box for many years and I used it in the 1940's as a young girl as the manager of the thread department of our small store! What memories this box has for me and what a very beautiful piece of American history!
