Lighthouse painting $250 Armand Sindoni On Sunday, September 1, 2002, the Gloucester Schooner Festival Committee, at its annual awards dinner, honored Armand Sindoni, the Schooner Festival Artist from 1996 through 2001. A beautiful presentation was prepared by H.A. Lind, a local artist, highlighting Mr. Sindoni’s contributions to the Gloucester Schooner Festival, the Rocky Neck Art Colony, and the community of Gloucester. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts in 1929, Armand Sindoni spent his entire life on the coast of New England. He attended Massachusetts College of Art and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He maintained studios on Eastern Point Road and at the Rocky Neck Art Colony. Mr. Sindoni was a nationally recognized portrait and seascape artist with many local, national and international awards to his credit.
