Every few years we are fortunate to unveil a multi-operational time capsule of personal property numbering in the thousands. This three bedroom home of Jane Guernsey Pope is such a repository.  Mrs. Pope spent over 5 decades working at nearby Dameron Hospital's Lab as a respected and beloved medical technologist.  She was also a personal family friend.  If you only attend a few estate sales per year, this definitely should place high on your list.  We are honored to conduct this sale. 

Highlights:

  • furniture from the early 1900s through the 1960s, including carved mahogany dressers, chest on chest, dressing glass, chest on dressers, two drop front desks--one of Honduras mahogany--corner desk, blonde MTC dining room table and chairs, two china cabinets and matching side cabinets, carved camphor chest, Lane cedar chest, Barrister bookcase, other bookcases, several curio shelves/cabinets, mahogany pine cone twin bed frames, recliners, occasional tables, occasional chairs, clean 5-foot sleeper/sofa, coffee and end tables, blanket chests, Windsor chair, and two game tables;
  • Singer Featherweight with table, Singer Athena 2000 electronic in deluxe wooden cabinet with chair, loads of sewing boxes and notions;
  • MTC lighting table and pole lamps;
  • old radios, cameras, projector, and field glasses;
  • library of 1920s-30s juvenile art, history and fiction; 1917-1940 bound National Geographic magazines;

  • terrific women's clothing and over six tables of accessories from the 1920s through the 1960s;
  • 4 cases of collectibles smalls, advertising tins, popular culture, Boy Scout, military, rock collection, old fountain pens, photographs, stamps and foreign coins;
  • holiday items;
  • Asian carved arts to include 3 Mah Jongg sets, wall plaques, Cloisonné, Kutani ware, lacquer ware, vases, pair of tall Japanese brass lanterns;
  • vintage kitchenware and accessories, baking items, pots, pans, bowls, crockery, refrigerator, vintage to contemporary appliances still in their boxes;
  • washer/dryer;
  • steps stools, carts;
  • framed art and prints;
  • bed, bath and table linens;
  • old children's board games;
  • full garage of knick-knacks, tools, ladders, yard and garden items, office and stationary supplies.
