Description & Details

A unique archive of concert flyers, handbills, and music-related ephemera assembled by David Josef, a longtime employee of the Telegraph Avenue Kinko's in the East Bay. Situated near the center of Berkeley and Oakland's thriving music scene, the shop served countless bands, promoters, and artists throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Recognizing their historical significance, Josef preserved examples of flyers and promotional materials produced through the shop, creating a remarkable collection that documents the grassroots culture of Bay Area punk, alternative, and independent music during the pre-digital era.
