You just nevah know what you'll find lurking under a couch or bed in these houses. This is a 71-piece set of vintage stainless flatware, by Georg Jensen. Designed by Arne Jacobsen, in 1957, its clear, precise, simplified lines were then a vision into the future, so pioneering, that it was used in the film "2001: A Space Odyssey". Form and function are boldly thought out down to the tiniest detail, making an overall impression of natural elegance. A tribute to steel which Arne Jacobsen, as a functionalist, greatly valued. Arne Jacobsen (1902 - 1971) was one of the century's leading Scandinavian architects. A perfectionist with an overall architectural vision. He realized his ideas and intentions not only in great buildings, but also in the items used in them: furniture, textiles, fixtures and fittings and cutlery. Produced in stainless steel in both a matte and a mirror finish. Deserves daily use.
