I was enchanted by this plate the first time I saw it. Nothing in my house is vey….fishy. The colors are stunning for sure, but like, the fish - I both hate and love them. The fact that plate is shaped like a fish but also has fish around the plate. Also it’s a weird shape to serve fish in so it’s not even for fish. And yet, I still love it.

I have no idea why there is a pineapple in the middle of a tray of pink leaves and I don’t care. I love everything about this. What would you serve in it? What wouldn’t you serve in it. You don’t even have to use it as a server - put it on your dresser and keep jewelry and change or q-tips whatever. But this thing deserves to be out and used.

The wooden tissue box you see here is hand made! It was also built into the bar before we took it off (shhh…don’t tell the realtor - obviously that would have been a huge selling point.

The lighting doesn’t do this justice. Great little California Pottery piece. But seriously in the 60’s why was the dip portion of the chip and dip bowls so small? Was it to keep people from double dipping? Were they just cheap? Will we ever know.

This is the Corning version of the Pyrex friendship pattern. Some of the Corning versions were straight up copies of the Pyrex versions - then there are ones like this that are like….the Frank Stallone versions.
