Rich, tactile detailing draws the eye of the viewer as only fine biscuit porcelain can. It was produced by the firm of Samson et Cie of Montreuil, France, probably between 1945 and 1969. Incised rear of plinth “Moreau”. Marked underside with “Genuine Biscuit Made in France” and a blue underglaze mark (crossed leafy branches over "S") of Samsom Cie, founded in Paris in the early 19th century.
