Matteson Type Federal Painted Mule Chest, Carved Wooden Eagle, Wooden Trade Sign

An early 20th century American Folk Art quilt, possibly African American. Hand-stitched, pieced and quilted with Mule design in Orange and Black, with a plain Olive Green backing. Some wear, minor fading and pulls, hanging panel attached. 68 x 72 1/2" high overall.

A 16th century or earlier Late Gothic Period stained glass window of The Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Multi-color stained and leaded glass panels with reverse painted detail depicting a young Virgin Mary being presented by her mother to a High Priest in the Temple of Jerusalem within geometric and foliate borders. One crack to edge of preist's arm, some wear to paint. In a later Oak frame, 19 x 28 1/2" high overall.

A turn of the century American Tramp Art tall chest by James S. Henderson inscribed "Cabinet Started January 1, 1900, Finished 1905, Aug 25… Study Out Oct 20, 1882 Model". Constructed of scrap wood and found objects including a crate side labeled "High Explosives, Dangerous" decorated with chip carved Hearts, Stars, Diamonds outlined with stacked zipper moldings and applied detail. Retains its original Black painted finish highlighted with a multitude of White porcelain knobs and various metal objects. Features an upper lift top divided compartment over two long drawers, two short and three short and two long lower drawers. Original finish with some wear and minor damage. 18 x 38 1/2 x 54" high overall. A 1960's Lalique "Chene" Crystal chandelier. Elaborate three light chandelier with single tier molded Oak leaf design and frosted detail in a circular Chrome frame with molded Crystal canopy. Etched signatures "Lalique France". Slight wear, minute flakes at the edges of four leaves and the back of another. 22 1/2 x 27" high overall. A late 19th century American miniature blanket box. Dovetailed Pine construction with a hinged molded rim and original Brown grain painted finish. Some wear, old replaced hinges and area with in-painting at top. 14 1/2 x 8 x 9 1/2" high overall.

A pair of early 20th century Gothic Revival Period sconces. Cast Brass bodies with single lights and Shield design with foliate details, patinated finish and Mica liners. Some wear to finish and pitting. Each 16" high.

A turn of the century French Gothic Revival tall clock retailed by Dupin & Strembel, Paris. Junghans 8-day, spring driven time and strike movement with quarter hour strike, Silvered dial and Arabic numerals. Carved Gothic Revival case with central spire flanked by smaller spires, single door with carved tracery and arched dial glass, central waist door with one arched panel over linen fold panel with arched quarter columns on a stepped base with carved linen fold design and heavy molded foot. Old finish with very minor wear, running when cataloged, strike needs adjustment. 21 1/2 x 11 1/2 x 102" high overall.

A turn of the century Gothic Revival Period carved Oak armoire. Molded top over two long doors with carved tracery and linen fold panels, with Iron hinges and lock. Older dark finish with minor wear. 38 x 18 1/2 x 70 3/4" high overall.

Attributed to Marriet McGeath, American (Indiana), 20th century. An early 20th century graphite on paper drawing, titled "Auction in Darktown". Depicts numerous small, detailed Black figures at a country auction. Unsigned, titled lower right. Toning, some creasing and very slight foxing, not examined out of frame. Image 16 1/2 x 13 1/2" high, framed 20 1/2 x 17 1/2" high overall.

A turn of the century Gothic Revival Period carved Oak court cupboard. Molded top with canted corners over two doors with carved tracery and figural panels, rope twist columns surmounted by carved Apostles, over an open lower shelf with linen fold carved back panel, Iron hinges and figural Apostle lock. Original finish with some wear, damage and shrinkage, lacks piece of pierced skirt at side. 37 x 21 1/4 x 53" high overall.

Two early 20th century Lincoln Mfg. wall sconces. Cast Bronze and Brass bodies with single light and patinated finish, one with "St. Maria" Ship design and polychrome details, the other with Grape Leaf design and Mica liner. Both marked "Lincoln" Mfg. Co. at back. Some wear to patina and discoloration to "candles". Up to 17 1/2" high.

Attributed to Marriet McGeath, American (Montpelier, Indiana), 20th century. An early 20th century casein on paper painting, titled "Fun in Darktown". Depicts numerous small, detailed Black figures engaged in fun winter activities. Unsigned, titled lower center. Tears and wrinkles to paper edges, very slight foxing, not examined out of frame. Image 22 x 19" high, in a contemporary frame with slight wear, 28 3/4 x 25 3/4" high overall.

A 19th century American painted step back cupboard. Maple construction in two parts with a molded cornice over two raised panel doors and a short pie shelf in the upper and two short drawers, raised panel doors and a cut out bracket base below. Original Red/Yellow grain painted finish. Some wear, upper interior with later paint, rodent damage to drawers, lacks keeper on bottom doors. 18 x 46 1/2 x 81 1/2" high overall.

Reuben Aaron Miller, American (Georgia), 1912-2006. Two late 20th century mixed media paintings on masonite depicting a dinosaur, shark and other creatures in marker on a White painted background with "Lord Love You" written above. Each signed "RA Miller" lower left. Minor wear to paint and surface grunge. Both 16 x 11 1/2" high overall.

A 1970's vintage Cedric Hartman occasional table. Circular Travertine marble top on a Brass tri-pod base. Marked "Cedric Hartman, P 880434, Made In USA" at underside. Slight wear, original finish with tarnish to Brass. 17" diameter x 23" high overall.

Signed "MOSET" upside down with characteristic backwards "S" upper right, pop can tab hanger verso. Minor wear to paint at edges. Panel 24 1/4 x 12 1/4" high overall.

A turn of the century Gothic Revival Period carved Oak dressing screen. Three panel screen with carved trefoil crown above a quatrefoil frieze and tracery panels flanking a central carved shield and lower linen fold carved panels. Older finish with some wear and flaking. Each panel is 18 x 63 1/2" high, 54 x 63 1/2" high overall.

An early 20th century Gothic Revival Period floor lamp. Wrought iron construction on a tripod base with custom Silk shade. Rewired, slight wear. 63" high overall.

American Folk Art

An early 19th century American Federal "Matteson Type" dome top storage box from South Shaftsbury, Vermont. Basswood construction features a lift-top with interior dust moldings on a dovetailed body. Retains the original multi-color painted finish with crotch graining within a "banded" border on top and facade, fanciful crotch graining on sides and back. Wear and minor paint losses along the edges, lacks the inner dust molding on the left side, old glued repair to back of lid, replaced hasp. 30 x 14 x 12" high overall.

A turn of the century Gothic Revival Period carved Oak side buffet. Molded top over two doors with carved tracery and central figural panel, with carved columns surmounted by Apostle figures, Iron hinges and lock. Old finish with wear, some shrinkage, break to one Iron strap hinge. 48 1/2 x 21 x 33 1/2" high overall.

Signed "MOSET" with characteristic backwards "S" lower right, pop can tab hanger verso. Minor surface grunge. Panel 12 x 24" high overall. An early 20th century Gothic Revival carved Oak radio cabinet. Molded top over over two doors with carved tracery and pierced Rose Window design, Iron hinges and lock, over an open lower with linen fold carved back panel and rope twist legs and stretcher base. Opens to reveal an upper speaker compartment with lift-up door and lower pull out drawer with a "Sonora" radio and Brass dials. Speaker with original "Dynamic" label at back. Old finish with minor, small chip to door, radio untested. 36 1/2 x 19 1/2 x 54 1/4" high overall.

A 19th century American oil on canvas portrait of a young girl. Depicted seated in a Victorian parlor wearing a White dress and holding a pull toy sheep with an obscured landscape beyond an open window. Unsigned. Craquelure, some previous restorations with patches to canvas back, a few small flakes and scratches to paint. Image 23 1/2 x 29 1/2" high, in a Birdseye Maple frame with some wear, 34 1/4 x 40 1/4" high overall.

A 19th century Gothic Revival Period carved Oak altar railing. Three sections with Gothic arches and molded railings. Older finish with minor wear, some modifications. Two sections 36 1/2 x 27 1/2" high, one section 73 x 27 1/2" high.

An early 20th century Gothic carved Oak mirror retailed by Lightolier, New York. Carved rectangular frame with arcaded crown above an arched mirror with carved tracery and two rope twist columns surmounted by carved Apostles. Original "Lightolier, New York" embossed foil tag at back. Older finish with minor wear, lacks some decorative elements at top and sides. 25 x 36" high overall.

A Gothic Revival stained glass window of Joseph's Dream. Multi-color stained and leaded glass panels with reverse painted detail depicting the dream which revealed to Joseph that Mary was carrying the Son of God, within geometric and foliate borders. Soldered restoration and crack to Mother and Child panel, some wear to paint. In a later Oak frame, 20 1/2 x 32 3/4" high overall.

A turn of the century Gothic Revival Period carved Oak blanket box. Paneled lift top with Iron hinges over a three panel facade with carved tracery on a molded bracket base. Old finish with some wear and fading, particularly to top. 40 x 18 1/2 x 24 1/2" high overall.
