The sale will be held in this fascinating and historic Museum. They are selecting items from their extensive collections to offer to the public as a means to raise funds for the society. In Sept 1982 the building was placed on the National Register for Historic Places. The Carondelet Historic Center Building opened in 1873 as the Des Peres School which housed the first publicly funded Kindergarten in the United States founded by Susan Blow.The Museum was founded in 1967.
