THE COLLECTION AND WORKS OF LORRAINE L. PARMAN (1919-2021) Hudson Estate Sales is liquidating selections from the estate of Lorraine L. Parman, a highly prolific yet undiscovered artist, and collector of Victorian art and Eastlake antiques. Parman was a devotee of Victorian handwork, or, “Fancy work,” as it was sometimes referred to, and in her own work she painstakingly created elaborate bouquets of seashells, meticulous paintings made of tiny glass beads, shadowboxes of dried flowers, "Tinsels," or, reverse painting on glass with reflective elements and “theorems,” a method of painting on fabrics using stencils.
