Rare Salvador Dali "Bird-in-Hand" Compact by Elgin American: A rare Bird-in-Hand compact designed by famed Spanish Surrealist Salvador Dali for Elgin American. This hard to find compact features a streamlined bird form that fits nicely in the palm of a hand, having a silver plated finish with gold tone accents and red enameled eyes. The head piece pulls out as a lipstick holder, the wings open upward to an inverted heart-shaped mirror with powder compartment below, and a pill compartment is hidden in the tail feathers. The compact was designed by Salvador Dali in a 1950 collaboration with Elgin executives, being first manufactured in 1951 by The Illinois Watchcase Company under the Elgin American label. Marked “Dali” to the head and “Elgin American Made in USA Pat Pend.” to the inside powder cover.

Antique Russian Brass Samovar: A turn of the century Russian brass samovar. The samovar features a barrel-shaped reservoir in polished brass, having turned wood handles and knobs, with an open steam vent to top and decorative brass spigot key. The tin lined samovar rests on a square self footed base and bears markings and medallion stamps from the Russian imperial maker Batesheva, with additional stamped awards and exhibition medals to the front and base. Samovars were first introduced to Russia during the mid-1700s, becoming an important center of cultural life.

Charley Harper Signed Limited Edition Serigraph: A signed limited edition serigraph on wove paper by well listed and beloved Cincinnati artist and wildlife conservationist Charley Harper (1922 – 2007), titled Seeing Red. The print depicts a cardinal becoming flustered and angry as it aggressively confronts its own reflection in a glass pane. The print is signed and numbered 1294/2500 in pencil to the lower corners. It is matted in black and presented behind glass in a silver tone metal frame with a hanging wire attached to the verso.
