Original Charles Ephraim Burchfield "Sunflowers and Red Barn" Serigraph: An original Charles Ephraim Burchfield (American 1893-1967) serigraph titled Sunflowers and Red Barn. This rendering features a large garden of sunflowers in front of the artist’s barn in Salem, Ohio. Mr. Burchfield was only known to have permitted a small amount of reproductions of his works during his lifetime. This rare serigraph was printed in the 1942 by American Living Art Inc.; and possibly was an edition of only fifty, based on other limited editions works by this company. Charles Burchfield was famous for his nature scenes, and his work is on display in many world renowned institutions, that include the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Carnegie Museum of Art, with the largest collection of his works on display in the Burchfield Penney Art Center.
