“Adobe Home Landscape”, a stunning Native American pottery vase in very good condition. This vase measures 13” H x 13” W x 6” D.

An antique French signed miniature portrait in gilt frame, circa late 19th century. Signature present on right side of portrait as shown in photos. Likely from the Victorian era, this antique French portrait miniature features a young woman beautifully painted and covered with glass. The back of the frame is marked and appears to be made in the Czechoslovakia. Czechoslovakia was a country in central Europe that was made up of Bohemia, Moravia, and Slovakia. It was formed in 1918 after World War I when Austria-Hungary collapsed. In 1993, Czechoslovakia peacefully split into the Czech Republic and Slovakia. This portrait measures in the frame, 5.25” H x 4.25” W.

An antique inkwell and blotter manufactured by Heintz Art Metal Shop circa 1912. Sterling and bronze with maker mark present underneath as shown in photos. Otto L. Heintz was the founder of the company. He was born in 1877 into a family of jewelers and set out on his own in 1902 when he took over a small local business, renamed it the Art Crafts Shop, and began creating copper pieces with colorful enamel decoration.

The miniature is elegantly framed in an ornate gilt frame complete with an easel stand for tabletop display and measures in frame, 5” H x 3.5” W.

A 19th century baker bread slicer with a handwritten note giving provenance back to the late 1800s. The iron handle boasts a wonderful pierced Art Nouveau design and the blade is marked with the number “2”. This bread slicer (when folded down), measures 10” H x 12” W x 14” D.

The Avengers are a team of superheroes appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby. The team made its debut in The Avengers #1 (cover-dated September 1963).

An antique Piccolo in a purple velvet lined case by, Leon Aubert. Maker marks present as shown in photos and appears to be complete. A piccolo is a small flute that plays an octave higher than a regular flute. It’s a member of the woodwind family of instruments. This Piccolo is believed to be a D-Flat.

A stunning Native American Turquoise & genuine Pearl necklace with a silver clasp measuring 24”.

A pair of vintage jewelry enhancers. The larger one is marked 925 and the smaller one appears to have a Tahitian Pearl wrapped in silver. One measures 4” and the other, 2”. A jewelry enhancer is a hinged loop that attaches a pendant to a chain, allowing the pendant to be easily moved between chains. Enhancers are a type of bail that can be used to add versatility to jewelry.

A late 19th century lacquer & hand-carved varnished wood cinnabar box in very good condition. This decorative box with lid measures (closed), 5” H x 13” W x 10.75” D. A cinnabar box is a type of antique Chinese lacquerware box, typically made with a rich red lacquer, known for its intricate carvings and often used for holding keepsakes or small items.

A cinnabar box is a type of antique Chinese lacquerware box, typically made with a rich red lacquer, known for its intricate carvings and often used for holding keepsakes or small items.

A collection of three antique Chinese cloisonne vessels including one with a lid, hinged lid, and the smallest on three small tapered legs. All three are in good condition and feature wonderful detail. Cloisonné is an ancient technique for decorating metalwork objects with colored material held in place or separated by metal strips or wire, normally of gold.

An antique yellow Chinese enamel hand warmer. Features stunning detail and is signed underneath as shown in photos. These items would sometimes contain a copper insert for holding coals (this one does not). These small, portable devices were often crafted in round or oval shapes for easy handling and adorned with lacquer, bronze or enamel.

A beautiful Tagua Nut bracelet, crafted on an adjustable string for different sized wrists. Native to the Amazonian regions of Ecuador. Tagua is the seed of a palm tree whose physical composition is similar to elephant ivory. Because it is a natural occurring plant, the characteristics of tagua allow it to be a resource that can continue to be used over the long term. This allows environmentally conscious people to enjoy the beautiful elements of ivory without the cruel elements of the elephant ivory trade. Tagua has a high aesthetic and utilitarian value that allows it to be used as an accessory in clothing and jewelry dating back to the Spanish colonization in America.

An antique fine carved Oriental Netsuke in good condition and signed underneath as shown in photos. A netsuke is a miniature sculpture, originating in 17th century Japan. Initially a simply-carved button fastener on the cords of an inrō box, netsuke later developed into ornately sculpted objects of craftsmanship. This Netsuke measures 2” H x 2” W x 2” D.

This lot features a Maidu Native American coiled basket. The design and shape would also be consistent with it being a Pomo basket, but the size of the stitches make it more likely Maidu. They are both California basket making tribes but the stitches on Pomo baskets tend to be finer. The basket will date around 1920 and is missing a few stitches as shown in photos. This basket measures 2” H x 4” W x 4” D.

A Japanese pipe holder & an African slingshot sculpture. The pipe holder was most likely for Opium. Kiseru (煙管) is a Japanese word that refers to a traditional smoking pipe. It is used to smoke finely shredded tobacco called kizami. African slingshot sculptures are hand-carved wooden figures that are often associated with the Baule carving culture of Ivory Coast. They are figurative objects that can depict heads or bodies. The tallest measures 8” H.

“Ye Town Crier”, an antique Deldare plate by Buffalo Pottery, circa 1908. In very good overall condition with no chips or cracks and maker mark shown underneath in photos. Measures 8.25” H x 8.25” W. Buffalo Pottery was founded in 1901 by John D. Larkin (1845-1926) to supply the Larkin Company with premiums for its customers. The company’s first general manager, Lewis H. Bown, recruited a number of skilled craftsmen and artisans from throughout the United States, including William J.

A pair of fine quality antique hand painted Japanese Imari square plates. They have a shaped scalloped edge with quality hand painted panels, with a vase of flowers and leaves to the centre, in wonderful red, blue, gold, orange and white colors, circa 1900. Imari porcelain can be Chinese or European in origin, but was first created in Japan. In 1616, the town of Arita became Japan’s porcelain production center because it was near Izumiyama, a quarry rich in kaolin clay. The wares were then shipped to the West from the port of Imari, hence the name. Each plate measures 10.25” H x 10.25” W.

“The Gratier”, a ceramic vase by Bjorn Wiinblad for Nymolle. Signed underneath and in good overall condition from Denmark, circa 1960s. Bjørn Wiinblad, was a Danish painter, designer and artist in ceramics, silver, bronze, textiles, and graphics. His work has been shown widely in Europe, in the United States of America first in 1954 and in Japan, Australia and Canada in 1968. This vase measures 11.25” H x 3.75” W x 3.75” D.

An artisan made necklace with multi-colored Tourmalines, sterling silver, & “Peacock” Tahitian Pearls. In excellent condition, this necklace can be layered over or worn as is, with a total length of 44”. Peacock Pearls are said to bring centering and a calming reflection, as well as attune the wearer to the ebb and flow of life.

“Inter-Tribal Greeting”, a bronze sculpture by listed artist, Doug Hyde. Signed as shown in photos and measures 3.5” H x 5.5” W x 2” D. Known for native American figures, Doug Hyde casts bronze sculpture from original stone work but prefers to do originals from stone because he loves the resistance of the medium. He has been a long-time resident of Santa Fe, New Mexico, but was born in Hermiston, Oregon into the Nez Perce tribe. He attended the San Francisco Art Institute, and the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe where he was one of the first students of Allan Houser, the highly successful Apache sculptor. Hyde then served in the Army for two tours of Vietnam, and was seriously wounded in a Saigon grenade attack. In the early 1970s, he returned to Santa Fe to succeed Houser in directing the Institute’s sculpture program, and then in 1974 turned to full-time studio work.

A Navajo liquid silver necklace measuring 29” in excellent condition. Marked 925 on either side with a total approx. weight of 63.81 grams. Liquid silver is a term used to describe several strands of small silver beads held together to create a fluid-looking piece. It is created by slicing tubes of Sterling Silver and then stringing them together carefully. This type of jewelry is often also known as liquid heishi or silver heshi.
