1930's Back to the Future

Our Estate Sale this week is the original estate of Dr. H.E. Luehrs and Mrs. Ellen Luehrs. This home was built in 1936 and they lived in the home till he passed. Dr. Luehrs came to South Texas about the turn of the century. He had medical offices in Mathis, Sinton and finally settled his practice on 3 rd Street in Corpus Christi. Ellen was a homemaker. They had one son Lester who married in 1956 to Marguerite. Marguerite and Lester enjoyed owning and operating Luehrs Cotton Company.
