WATCHMAKER RETIRING - POCKET WATCHES & HOROLOGICAL TOOLS & CABINETS

Extensive collection of New York Watch Co. (later the Hampden Watch Co.) pocket watches produced from 1866 to 1888 in Springfield, MA. The company later moved to Canton, Ohio and in 1930 sold its machinery and the one year contracts of 23 volunteer watchmakers to Russia. Included are some extremely early and rare N.Y.W.Co. three quarter plate movements as well as an array of "jeweler contract" pieces from across the nation and Canada from both companies.
