Items of Value Inc is proud to have been selected to sell the estate of Ray Dorosz, art collector, painter, and art teacher in Virginia Beach.  The sale will be conducted in his home and will offer you the opportunity to see and purchase from his personal art collection, paintings by himself and others, also collectibles including over 400 dachshunds and outdoor statuary.  The number of items exceeds 4,000.  Most of them will all be offered in place where found in the house, so that you can experience the displays as Mr. Dorosz had conceived them.

The sale includes 19th century art in the way of marble busts, large framed European paintings, and portrait miniatures on ivory, .  Much other fine art consists of 20th century paintings, collections of Lalique crystal, original Icarts, original Disney cartoon cels, also over 400 dachshunds.  Smaller collections are Marilyn Monroe collectibles, framed vintage calendars, European tiles, man's rings, stained glass windows, Capodimonte, Hummels, Lladros.  Furniture includes finely carved chairs, Art Deco sheet music cabinet, Victorian sofa, cast iron patio chairs.  Unique items are framed Superman (Christopher Reeves) autograph, pair of male/female acrylic torsos, pink marble-veneered dining table, antique icon, bejeweled coffer chest, antique carved ivory, Cassat mother-and-child sketch, Dali, small tapestries.  Rare items are two of the white marble female busts, large painting by James Poole, one of the Icarts, and surprisingly a painted 1930s metal kitchen table.  Be amused when you discover whimsical items in the rooms as well as a special marionette.

The sale will begin Wednesday, 19 July, and run 5 consecutive days, 8am-4pm each day, through Sunday, 23 July.  We expect the lines to be long the first days, so please be patient while waiting to enter the house.  If you come with someone else, you might take turns standing in line while the other one enjoys walking through the statue garden behind the house.  Terms are cash and carry.  We prefer cash or personal check. We will accept VISA or Master Card with a 5% surcharge.  We will institute a discount policy of 10% off tagged price every subsequent day.  Please bring satchels and empty boxes with you. We will supply newspaper and plastic bags.  Display cases and showcases may be purchased right away but cannot be removed until afternoon of Sunday, 23 July.  Please bring muscle power to remove large statuary and potted plants, also plenty of packing blankets to protect your larger purchases.

Plan to come several times to enjoy a most memorable estate sale experience, perhaps including a nice seafood meal and a walk on the beach.

It'll be sunny (we hope)! Temp 365.
