JC Estate Sales

Selling a home and moving out of state can be a daunting experience. Jay guided us through the process, and, looking back, he made it so easy. As we were moving South we gave lots of clothing (mostly winter!) to a local charity and our children took the items they wanted. Jay connected us to a local mover who came in and packed up the items we wanted and delivered them to our new location in Florida. All we had to do was put our personal items in our car and head on out. Jay did everything else. We didn’t even have to empty out cupboards or drawers! Jay handled the estate sale without any hitches. Neighbors were happy with how he handled parking, etc. Jay left the house in good shape for the new owners. When I moved to Vermont, Jay did my estate sale. I left CT, leaving everything to be handled by Jay as far as the estate sale and complete clean-out (which he did in conjunction with the mover).

I was extremely pleased. He sent pictures updating progress and showing the house empty and well-cleaned. Jay even called me later on to tell me I would receive a sizable check for an item he had sold at auction.

I inherited a house filled to the brim with antiques, collectibles, furniture, and housewares from three different generations. I was overwhelmed and had no idea how I would ever be able to empty the house without throwing most of it away. With Jay’s expertise we were able to sort through everything and figure out the best course of action for each item. Some things were sold at auction, some to specialized collectors, and the rest through an estate sale.

When it came to the estate sale, Jay and his team took care of everything. They marketed the sale, cleaned, researched, and priced everything and handled a large crowd easily. On the first day of the sale there were easily 15 antique dealers lined up in anticipation.

After the sale Jay’s team cleaned up everything. The small amount of contents left were either in bulk taken to charity or taken to the dump. I didn’t have to break a sweat for any of this.
