II Gemini’s goal is to assist families to explore the best way to find new homes for their love one’s treasures and personal belongings. We have conducted our services for over 8 years and recognize these may be difficult decisions for families. We tailor how we conduct each sale based on the individual needs. We provide a variety of services for families, which include: pricing, staging and display, advertising, posting pictures on estate sale site, inventory list of items sold and finding a buyer for remainder of items at the end of a sale. When indicated we provide an inventory of items listed, security and regional and national advertising.
Nedra Manners has been selling antiques and treasures for over 10 years. She became interested in antiques and art as a child. She grew up being exposed to art by her father, the Head of a Art Department, at Jacksonville State University in Alabama. On weekend she would go with her family and family friends, junking. Some of the original pickers. Nedra has travel in the US and Europe. During her travels a main focus is going to museums, antique stores and flea markets. She has also guided tours to Europe taking artist to museums and artist studios. She started conducting estate sales through contacts selling her antiques. Some of the finer items sold during her estate sales conducted include: original art, antique oriental and religious objects, African art, antique carved ivory, antique furniture, Korean furniture Japan and English porcelain, vintage costume jewelry and estate jewelry. Ms Manners has local and regional costumers and as far as New York City. Currently Ms Manners is also the manager of a local antique mall (The Cotton Block Antiques and More).
A sale is tailored to the needs of the individual. A contract is developed to state the conditions of the sale. The general fee is 30%. This includes pricing, staging and display, taking pictures of featured items and areas, advertising, inventory list of items sold, finding buyer for remaining items at end of sale, managing sale during sale days. Toward the end of a sale prices may be reduced. The family may designate items not to be reduced. All items the family is keeping must be labeled and removed prior to the sale. Advertising includes: local advertising and regional or national when indicated. In addition each sale is advertised on the web site which also include pictures.
When indicated there may be extra needs for a sale which include: security, extra staff, regional or national advertising and inventory before items sold. An additional percentage to cover these cost could be negotiated. An example of security could include uniformed security on site, additional persons stationed in each room and limiting the number of person allowed in the home at one time. For smaller sales there are 2 to 4 staff during the sale.
