The appraisal and decorating team at Caring Transitions (North Shore) has helped thousands of Executors and Downsizers sell the contents of their homes, each containing a lifetime of accumulated items. We have served as executors and care deeply about helping others find good homes for their possessions, or those of a loved one. This was the first Caring Transitions office, nationwide. Currently, nearly 200 offices operate across the United States. We specialize in public, private & online estate liquidation services, as well as the appraisal of personal property. A Nationally Accredited Appraiser with the International Society of Appraisers, our founder (Bruce Treadway) stays abreast of trends in collectibles, fine art and antiques. Additionally, he holds membership with the Certified Appraisers Guild of America, where he received training as an expert witness in matters of personal property appraisal.
A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Mr. Treadway has served in numerous operations and project management roles. Before the opening, Mr. Treadway served in corporate management for Fortune 100 manufacturers of medical devices, precision electronics and other products.
A military veteran of the US Navy, participating in Operation Desert Storm and Operation Sharp Edge, he became a Lifetime Member of VFW Post 5040 and AMVETS. He actively assists military veterans transitioning to civilian life.
He has served as a Commissioner on the Senior Services Grant Commission. More recently, he volunteered as a board member for the County Mental Health Board. Currently, he serves on the board of directors for Senior Services Associates. Additionally, Mr. Treadway is a member of Leadership Greater McHenry County (LGMC).
Mr. Treadway is a member of the Chambers of Commerce in the Barrington area, Northbrook and Lake Bluff / Lake Forest. He is a member of the Lake County Bar Association.
