When my mom passed several years ago, my sisters and I had no idea what to do with her house chock-full of "stuff". We had never heard of an estate sale and did not have the time to hold any type of sale ourselves. We believed the best solution for getting her house sale-ready was to simply put most of her items on the curb. I do not recommend this solution. While we did get rid of a lot of items, the scavengers left a mess that needed to be cleaned up daily.
After visiting estate sales for years and years, finding so many terrific treasures and meeting such interesting people, I decided I had to get in on this fascinating business of helping people. I'd so often heard that you should "do what you love" so I did; by launching Cardinal Estate Sales!
When you hire Cardinal Estate Sales, you hire someone who has "been there and done that". I prefer to meet my clients in person to review the property. We both need to understand what needs to be done before, during and after the estate sale as well as review the contract and terms.
During the months of May through September, I live in Ottertail County, Minnesota and manage Cardinal Estate Sales from my cabin. It's the best time of the year to have a sale as tourism kicks into high gear in the west central lakes country! If you're considering a sale, don't wait to reserve your spot; dates get snapped up quickly. Often, by the end March my schedule is filling up.

We review the contents of the home, bring in tables/supplies, set up the items for sale, review/price the items and have a two-day sale. Some items simply cannot be sold and we will review those items with you, too.
Generally, it will take at least three weeks from the time a contract is signed to the the completion of the sale.
