Proper advertising is essential to the success of your sale.. Attic to the Basement Estate Sales has one of the largest marketing networks to ensure we reach perspective customers all over the tri state area. Depending upon the size of your sale and its collectible contents we can also provide advertising  throughout the United States.

Please Note: Not all sales will be advertised outside the tri state area.

To get things started we ask that you do not throw anything away including all clothing, you would be amazed at what sells at an estate sale. Please go through the belongings and make a "keep" and "sell" list. Family members who want items should take them away as soon as possible, leaving you with those you will keep and those you will sell. All furnishings and larger items to be kept will be marked prominently as "NFS" or "not for sale." Smaller items should be kept in a safe room that will be securely closed to the public .

During the consult we will discuss your needs, your time frame, and tour the home or estate, we will take photographs to help with  advertising.. We also go over what to expect, about pricing, and how we will make this a very positive experience for you. Once the contract is signed and a date that is suitable for you is chosen we will set up a time frame to stage the sale. Please keep in mind all sales and set ups are different, most set ups take 2-3 days, in the event the house has several boxes to unpack for staging purposes we are ready and willing to take as much time needed to ensure the best sale possible.  We are happy to help unpack items that have been tucked away for many years including attics and basements. Once staging is complete we will begin pricing. (please rest assure anything large in value will be discussed with the owner) The sale itself usually runs 2-3 days on the weekends.

Fees- Each sale is different for this reason we are unable to quote a percentage over the phone without seeing the home first. We do charge an advertising fee of 250 payable at the end of each sale.

Please feel free to call us at 732-778-7674 or email us At to schedule a consult...We will follow up within 24 hours. We look forward to working with you

Can't wait to see you at our sale. Setup was 3128.

Below is my story, please feel free to read how I got started in this interesting business
My story begins 38 years ago when my grandmother took me to my first flea market, I can remember thinking this was not where I wanted to be. She gave me a dollar, told me to stay close and off we went. At 6 years old what else was their to buy other then toys? Let me put this another way, what toy on earth was I going to buy with 1 dollar? The answer was a few small toys and a pretzel, WOW that was it I was hooked! From then on my grandmother and I spent most of our Saturdays at the Englishtown Flea Market.
Years later my weekends still consist of flea markets and garage sales. The thrill of the hunt searching for that perfect figurine, adding to my many collections. Tea cups, toys, vintage Christmas, Halloween, Hummel's, tea pots, cookie jars, brooches everything and anything That brings me back to my favorite Aunts house who's home was filled with all the things we all wish we still had from our childhood.
After I was married and had my daughter I worked full time but had to stop due to an injury. I had to find a way to make extra money, from eBay to selling at the flea market I was now on the other side. Instead of buying I was now selling all the collectibles it took years to find. I knew/know some day I would/will find what I had to give up. Strangely I found myself loving what I was doing, I was making money and I was happy Not many of us can say that! Meeting so many new people listening to their stories on how they started their own collections I began searching for them. Again I was on the other side I wasn't shopping for myself but the thrill of the hunt was back and the smile on their faces was all I needed to know this is where I belonged. Now I had to find a way to shop for people as well as make a living especially during the winter. I rented a small booth in an antique shop and started filling it with all the things I knew customers would love.
After Hurricane sandy as well as loosing my home I lost most of my contents. The little money I received from insurance didn't cover everything I had lost. That's when I discovered Estate sales, I filled my home with new furniture, electronics, decorations and clothing all from these amazing sales. Soon after frequenting the same Estate company's sales I got a part time job helping out different company's stage homes before the sales. That is when I met my mentor, she quickly realized this was not only a job for me this was a way of life. She gave me the opportunity to become her partner After only working with her for a year. She taught me all the secrets to a good sale, how to keep the customers as well as the clients happy. Sadly my mentor past away only two months after becoming her partner. Working for estate sale company's you learn very fast how to help your clients deal with loss, divorce, the stress of moving etc. They put all their worries into your hands, and most important their memories. Now once again I was on the other side of the game, I was the one who was now lost without my partner. Shortly after her passing I was asked to continue her legacy, she gave me the confidence and the know how to accept. Months later I decided to give her family members the opportunity to continue what she had started and I resigned.
This brings me to where I am today, starting my own Estate sale Company is a dream come true, one that I intend to finish to the end.

“To whom it may concern:
Tara is a wonderful woman and hard worker. My mother in law passed away. She was an EXTREME hoarder. I hired an estate sale company to come to my home and prepare and hold a sale. It did not work out. I fired them 3 days before our sale date. I decided to go ahead and have a garage sale myself that weekend. Tara and Maryann came to my sale. Tara overheard me speaking to someone about my plight and immediately offered to come and take over the following day. I was a little skeptical at first but I ended up allowing it. Tara came on time and started organizing things for the sale that day. She continued to organize what she could throughout the day. She went far above and beyond. After my garage sale ended we hired Tara to come in and hold an estate sale for us. Tara immediately started taking pictures and posting the sale on line. Getting people excited. Every day prior to the sale Tara was at my home working harder than anyone I know from as early as I would allow until as late as I would allow. She was very polite and made sure with me many times throughout that she was not imposing. After our first sale ended I was pleasantly surprised at the success of the sale. Tara continued to come to my house to clean up until I was satisfied. We decided to hold a second sale with Tara. Again, she worked tirelessly. It no longer felt like she was hired help. She made it feel as though I had hired an old trusted friend. At the time it truly made the situation much easier to deal with. I did not have to worry about anyone she brought to my home to help her. I trusted her fully with all our belongings. Tara truly brought joy to an otherwise sad situation. She made my life much easier. If you have the opportunity to hire Tara for an estate sale I can say with complete confidence that you will be pleased with her work ethic as well as her respect for your belongings.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 732-912-9426.

“Tara organized an estate sale for me at my father’s house in September 2016. The house was fully
furnished with some ne furnishings, lamps, collec!bles, and an!ques. Tara came to the house a couple
of !mes prior to the sale, tagged everything, and fully researched items that she felt were of signicant
value. She did the research via the internet, and various other contacts she has in the business. Tara
took pictures of all the items to place on the Estate Sale site, and even had some of her exis!ng clients
interested in some of the items prior to the weekend sale. I le( Tara in the house both days of the sale,
and she let me know each day how the performance was, and what the proceeds were. The sale was
very successful. I found Tara to be very knowledgeable, trustworthy, and fair.
