Karin became a Master Personal Property Appraiser with the National Auctioneers Association in 2022. In order to reach this status, she had to show market-related experience, complete a core course in appraisal studies and the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, pass competency exams and peer review of appraisal reports. She has been a professional estate broker and personal property appraiser with a specialty in Antiques, Furniture and Decorative Arts since 1997 receiving her first credentials from Edinboro University and then as an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers. She knows how to research the market through multiple sources, adjust for value characteristics, and develop a marketing plan for you to achieve top dollar for your assets, not simply "liquidate" them.

To achieve the status of Registered Gemologist Appraiser, she followed a similar path which included BOTH training and testing as a gemologist AND a jewelry appraiser.
