This blue and white porcelain basin is a traditional utensil for washing the Chinese calligraphy and painting brushes. It comes with a large, anti-splashing convergence mouth. The shallow and curved body makes it easy to rinse the brush, without the worry about dipping the brush handle too deep into the water (so the water might drop down to the brush unexpectedly). The heavy body provides stability and the thick lip is a perfect place to adjust the brush tip and moisture after washing.
