Phillip and Kelvin LaVerne lovely Chan coffee or cocktail table in acid-etched patinated, and polychromed bronze and pewter, USA, 1960s. This iconic LaVerne table model design is called the House of Happiness (Chan #140) and it depicts a ceremony honoring the Emperor’s son with peasants bearing a gift of sacred scrolls with a promise of eternal life and happiness to the young prince. This biomorphic-shaped top etched with chinoiserie motifs rests on faux bamboo legs. Raised signature on top - Philip and Kelvin LaVerne.
