This is a painting purchased at an estate sale in Santa Cruz in the 1980s.
It was painted by an artist named RCC in 1886.
The Ayrshire Coast is in Scotland.

Ayrshire is one of the most agriculturally fertile regions of Scotland. Potatoes are grown
in fields near the coast, using seaweed-based fertiliser, and in addition the region
produces pork products, other root vegetables, and cattle and summer berries such as
strawberries are grown abundantly.
The frame is the original one and has been repaired but is very delicate.
 
After the painting was purchased, it was cleaned and re-varnished. The frame was also
repaired.
