vintage photographs of two famous American Thoroughbred racehorses, Bull Lea and Chance Play, likely from a collection or photo album.
Bull Lea (foaled 1935) was a successful racehorse and a highly influential sire, known for siring three Kentucky Derby winners, including Citation.
Chance Play (foaled 1923) was also a notable racehorse, winning major races such as the Belmont Stakes and the Jockey Club Gold Cup.
The photo on the right shows a horse at the B.A. Jones Training Barn.
These images appear to be from a collection related to the history of horse racing or Calumet Farm, which owned Bull Lea.
