This Russian lacquered brooch has an intricate painting of two lovers astride a horse flying over a city. It has a golden border framing the painting. The piece is signed on the back--see photo. The pin looks to be a safety pin that has been lacquered onto the brooch. This style of brooch is a Russian folk art, and beautiful to behold.
