Join us for a charming mid-Winter online auction from the home of the owner of House of Edinboro, a distinguished, high end furnishing and interior design establishment that operated for many years in the area.

We have sold a fair amount of pieces from the iconic store in past estate sales and I was always impressed with the quality, durability and style of pieces that came out of that store…now you’ll have an opportunity to take home a piece that came directly from the owner..cool stuff!

This home evokes hygge in every sense of the word and is exactly how I would have expected it to look….great taste, timeless and thoughtfully designed rooms, fun vignettes, quality furnishings of course, and just an overall sense of comfort. The owner has sold her home and is looking to find new caretakers for some of the furnishings, decor and collectibles that have been loved and curated over the years. Online Auction Bidding

Friday, 2/20-Friday, 2/27

-Bidding starts to close at 6pm on Friday, 2/27
-Please pay particular attention to the ending times located under each item of interest. There is no buyer's premium nor sales tax.

Preview/Inspection Day

Tuesday, February 24th 1pm-2pm
(Please call or text Chris @ 814-504-9532 to schedule a preview appointment. The address will be given at that time)

Pick-Up Day

-Monday, 3/2 and Tuesday, 3/3. This is a quick turnaround on the pick-up day due to the home closing the following week. An email will be sent to all winning bidders at the conclusion of the auction with a link to schedule a pick-up slot which will include the address and any other instructions. If you are not able to pick up your items on the designated pick-up days, please notify me in advance at 814-504-9532. Please look for this email and check your spam/junk folder.

Auction Format

The online auction bidding is a "hard close" process , similar to Ebay, as opposed to a "soft close" process used by other online auction platforms, which extends the time if there is active bidding towards the end. There is no time extension using this particular platform. The bidding ends when the allotted time for each item expires, which is displayed under each item.

Also, entering a maximum "max" bid doesn't necessarily mean you will pay your maximum bid. The system will automatically keep bidding on your behalf against other bidders up to your placed "max" bid for convenience purposes.

Bidding Example

You are bidding on a lamp and place a max bid of $58.00 towards the end of the auction. The auction ends on the item and you win the item for $39.00. This means the next highest bidder had a high bid of $38.00, however you were willing to go up to $58.00. Your maximum bid doesn’t automatically jump to that amount when you place the bid. The bid only is increased if there are other bidders actively bidding on the item. Your maximum bids are hidden from other bidders, essentially creating a level playing field. There’s definitely some fun strategy and gamesmanship as well.

An email will be sent at the conclusion of the sale by email to all winning bidders containing information about pick-up day.
