This antique spindle rocking chair is crafted from solid wood, likely cherry or mahogany, with a warm, aged patina. It features a distinctive fan-shaped crest with inlaid wood detailing, characteristic of late 19th or early 20th-century American furniture styles, possibly influenced by Shaker or Windsor designs. The chair has a turned spindle back, elegantly curved arms supported by turned posts, and a saddleshaped seat for comfort. The rockers are also turned and shaped for a smooth rocking motion. Minor wear and tear are visible, consistent with its age and use, including some scuffs on the seat and rockers, and a small area of veneer lifting on the underside of the seat.
