About the artist:

Wertheimer, formerly of Detroit, Michigan, was a well-known artist who specialized in very large abstract paintings. Wertheimer's use of color and space evokes clear scenes of nature and emotion within her paintings. Her work has been displayed in Gallery 446, located in Palm Springs and famous for supporting the work of local artists. Wertheimer was living in Palm Springs at the time of her death in 2009.
