Original Auguste Moreau French Bronze Vase with raised dragonflies and foliage. This vase is in very good condition with age-appropriate patina, one of the best indicators of a fine sculpture. This vase is from the Art Nouveau period of the late 19th-early 20th century.
Auguste Moreau was a French sculptor, born February 22, 1834, son of the famous sculptor Jean-Baptiste Moreau. His sculptures are mostly bronze, and shown at fine art museums
such as the Museum of Troyes and the Museum of Fine Arts of Bordeaux.
The vase measures 11.5 inches tall, 8.5 inches at its widest point, and 4.75 inches across the top.
