This extraordinary original one-of-a-kind abstract metal sculpture has a weathered green and brown patina. The 28-inch tall piece is constructed from welded metal components forming a figure with Latin American tribal imagery. The sculpture features iguanas multiple faces, wings, and a star-shaped emblem on the chest. It is mounted on a solid rectangular metal base and includes the artist's signature.
Miguel Illescas, is a highly acclaimed Ecuadorian sculptor with a prestigious gallery in Cuenca, Ecuador. He is widely known for creating two-dimensional and three-dimensional sculptures using recycled scrap metal, wood, and chromatic chemical solutions. His works are a wonderfully interpretive artistic celebration of native Latin American culture and nature.
